Internet Appliance on a Chip (IAC)
This project aims at a single chip Internet solution
for embedded appliactions. The idea behind this is to put a full Internet
stack on a single chip microcontroller equipped with a local area network
interface and parallel and serial I/O pins. By including FTP and HTTP servers
with CGI interface, the configuration and operation can be done completely
through an Internet browser running on a host computer connected the IAC.
The operating system kernel is based on Mac06
and is POSIX compatible.
Some features are:
-
multitasking kernel with POSIX API
-
PPP ready
-
built in IP stack (PPP, IP, UDP/TCP, DNS)
-
FTP and HTTP server
-
nonvoltile RAM-disk
-
serial and parallel I/O ports
-
simple LAN for interconnecting several IACs
