Guide to ConnectPlus on Zaurus

Postby ricelius on Mon Mar 28, 2005 4:01 am

Thanks to the information provided by this forum, I recently (at last!) got the ConnectPlus Wifi/128MB CF to work with my Zaurus SL-5500. However, since the forum is primarily a place for developers, the information may seem very technical for an outsider like me, and I didn't find it trivial to get the card to work. Therefore, I've put together a little guide (http://www.bentzon.net/acb/sandisk.html) detailing all the steps I needed to do to get this card to work, in the hope that others may find it a little easier to configure. I also provide binary packages for HostAP 0.3.7 for ARM.

I hope this may help people in the same situation I was in. Comments and/or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you everyone for the great work that has been put into this!

Good to see you were able to get it to work :) I installed the whole image, so I wasn't sure exactly which packages were needed if you wanted to build on an existing setup. Anyway, I'm happy you at least got a little out of the guide :)

I was thinking of this wifi card for my sl-5600. Will your collie hostap ipk's work on my poodle? I also need to use wpa-psk. Will this card support it? Does your build include wp_supplicant which I think is required for wpa-psk?
Thanks for considering these complete newbie questions!
